“This is the fastest-growing agricultural sector in the world today” – this was the message of BIOFACH 2019, the international organic trade fair, which was organized with yet again a record number of exhibitors. In addition to the number of participants, the latest statistics also show that the organic sector is growing year by year. And even if numbers are often considered as dry facts, it’s worth paying attention to the senstaional growth, as it signals a significant agricultural economy potential.Details
ÖMKi 2018: successful year for organic farming
We were not lazy in 2018 either: we organized workshops in Hungary and abroad, we provided professional representation for the organic sector at several Hungarian and international forums, we organized an awareness raising campaign for the wide public, and our on-farm network won the Oscar award of the energy sector. It was a busy year for us, but due to our achievements the common goal – a flourishing Hungarian organic farming sector – is one step closer. European diversity cereal festival
Between 26 and 28 June we attended the European Diversity Cereal Festival in Kalø (Denmark), which was jointly organized by the initiatives of Let’s Cultivate Diversity and Nordic Heritage Cereal within the CERERE H2020 project.Details
On the 3rd and 4th of July 2019, the second national Öko-Feldtage (Organic Field Days) organized by FiBL took place in Grebenstein, at the Staatsdomäne Frankenhausen, which is the research and experimental institute of the University of Kassel. This event unifies a unique combination of practice and research in organic agriculture and animal husbandry.Details
